Edward Figueroa

For Edward Figueroa, storytelling is fundamental to him. It is the fabric of entertainment, connections, and, importantly, his family and culture. For him, stories share small, intimate fractures of some truth and some fiction, and entertainment. As a storyteller, his interest falls on sharing and voicing life experiences through the power of writing.

He completed his Bachelor of Arts in Television, Film, and Media Studies, focusing on Writing at Cal State University, Los Angeles, to refine his voice and compose his writing style. His academic journey provided him the invaluable opportunity and privilege to pitch and develop an original screenplay for the Urban Stories Film Incubator Preproduction course, further fueling his passion for storytelling.
